Verticals and Page Types
Overview
This space aims to provide an overview of the different verticals and page types we support when generating referral links. Understanding the different concepts is crucial in using our product effectively. In this documentation, we will explore the three verticals and different Skyscanner page types per vertical that you may redirect your audience to. We will discuss the purpose of each page type and provide a brief description of their key benefits. Skyscanner offers a variaty of pages to help travellers search for and book flights, hotels, and cars. Each page is designed to provide the traveller with the information they need to make the right travel decisions.

Verticals
Skyscanner currently supports three verticals: Flights, Hotels and Car Hire. With these three verticals, we aim to offer travellers everything they need for their trip.
Page Types
Skyscanner offers different page types per vertical to help users navigate through the website and find the travel arrangements that suit their needs best. Here is a detailed overview of the different page types we support for each vertical:
Flights
Home
This page type is the home
page for the Flights vertical. On this page the user can perform a flights search according to their plans and needs.
Day View
The day-view
page type is what we call the page that provides all the search results from the user's provided parameters.
Calendar Month View
The calendar-month-view
page type gives us an overview of the prices for a predefined route during the whole month that was chosen by the user. After selecting the dates of travel, users are redirected to the day-view
page.
Browse View
When the origin or destination is a country, or the traveller wants to explore "Everywhere", Skyscanner will respond with a page that contains results to various cities or countries, and displays indicative prices. We call this page type browse-view
.
Multi-City
The multicity
page type offers searching for flights for more than one route.
Cheap flights to
The cheap-flights-to
page type consists of pages that will preview results for cheap flights to a predefined destination. The destination can be an airport, city, country, region or continent. For example: Cheap Flights to Scotland and Cheap Flights to Glasgow International Airport.
Flights Airline
The flights-airline
page type consists of pages that will preview results for flights offered from a predefined airline. The destination, if provided, can be an airport, city, country, region or continent. The China Eastern flights to Shanghai Pu Dong is an example of this page type.
Hotels
Home
This page type is the home
page for the Hotels vertical. On this page the user can perform a search for hotels according to their plans and needs.
Day View
The day-view
page type is what we call the page that provides all the search results from the user's provided parameters.
Hotel Details
This page type provides details for a specific hotel. You can check out the following example: Hyde Park Executive Apartments.
Car Hire
Home
This page type is the home
page for the Car Hire vertical. On this page the user can perform a search for a car rental according to their plans and needs.
Day View
The day-view
page type is what we call the page that provides all the search results from the user's provided parameters.
