Tracking
How is traffic tracked?
We partner with Impact to track all traffic coming from your flight search product to Skyscanner, and to pay you a share of commission for the traffic you're sending to our supply partners.
You should have been setup on Impact when onboarding to the Skyscanner Affiliate Program, and your Impact Ids will have been linked to your API key by us.
Additional tracking parameters
It's possible to add additional tracking parameters to your deeplinks, which will be available to you in your Impact reports. This can be useful to identify traffic based on custom parameters such as keyword, campaign or product.
We recommend using the following parameter for any additional tracking you require:
Parameter | Type | Limit |
---|---|---|
subid2 | Alphanumeric Note: If you need to use non-alphanumeric characters, you may consider using sharedid . | 255 Characters |
Example
https://agw.skyscnr.com/v1/redirect?pageUrl=[...]&impactMediaPartnerId=3107191&subid2=blackfriday24We highly recommend using the parameter above for additional tracking. You will be able to view the tracking parameters and associated values in Impact. For more information, please see Impact's help page
Do not include PII data (like customer emails) in your tracking parameters. If you are a cashback or subnetwork partner, please get in touch with your account manager.
Do not not remove or change any encoding on the links and should serve them as-is to travellers as this can break tracking.
